Purple Pansy Colorful Painting of Beautiful Flower entitled "Pansy Portrait"

Painting of Beautiful Pansy Flower by K. Joann Russell

"Pansy Portrait"
9 x 12" acrylic on watercolor paper
$64.95 incl S&H

Today's original painting of a tiny purple pansy tucked in among its leaves is an acrylic painting on gessoed watercolor paper. This delicate purple flower drew my attention with its dark purple center and veins. The soft lavender color of the petals behind the center makes the purple color even more vivid. It was in my stash of unfinished paintings until this month!

The story behind the story is that this tiny flower, about 1 1/2" in diameter, survived and was a delight for me in a yard covered in rocks! I planted it at the base of a pitifully dried up small tree. Up close the petals were delicate and frilly on the edges. What a contrast to an arid rock landscape!

The painting comes to you unframed. It is varnished. If you use a white mat with this art in a frame it can be a stunning piece of original fine art.
